Today we had our first Curriculum Day of the year, to enrich students with learning that isn't always focused in subject areas and to offer cultural opportunities.
Thank you to all the Staff who supported our coffee morning...so far we have raised £170. Many thanks to those who baked cakes and donated raffle prizes.
We run a homework club Monday - Thursday in room 4U06 from 3:15pm - 4:00pm, feel free to come along if you want a quiet place to complete homework or want to make use of IT Resources.
The RAF came into school yesterday to deliver workshops focused on employability skills to our Year 10's. They took part in group activities to improve their communication, reaction times, leadership skills, as well as learning the importance of integrity within the workplace.
Looks like our Year 9 Business Students are enjoying their trip to Cadbury's World
Dear all
Due to a small number of bicycle thefts we are relocating the majority of the cycle racks into the Post 16 compound and the back of Humanities. I wish to clarify that:
From tomorrow morning the library gates will be open from 8.00 to 8.45 to allow students to place their bicycles into the compound.
The gates at the entrance to the Assembly Hall will not open.
Students arriving late on a bicycle will still be able to come through the front of school but will need to use the remaining cycle racks opposite Little Angels.
At the end of the day the library gate will be opened and we will also consider opening the gates at the edge of the Assembly Hall
Members of staff will be available to guide students to where they need to lock their bicycles. They will also be reminded students to bring a helmet, lights and a LOCK!!
I also wish to remind your child about respect for others when cycling and to be safety aware when cycling to and from school.
Mr B Erwin
Principal
Due to a number of locked bicycles that were stolen from outside the school recently we have taken the decision today (Tuesday 17 September) to temporarily move students bicycles to a more secure location within the school premises.
We have been let down by individuals who have committed these crimes and we have listened to the feedback received from parents regarding this issue.
Steps are being taken to permanently move the cycle racks from their existing location and this will be advised to parents and students when the move has taken place.
