Exhibition of Learning
Our annual Exhibition of Learning has been held in the Assembly Hall over the past week. Many thanks to students, staff, governors and parents who have visited the Exhibition. As ever the quality of displayed work was extremely high and showcased many of the exciting learning opportunities on offer across the school. A special thanks to our Digital Leaders who have recorded the display and it will soon be available to access on our website. A highlight of the week was a brief performance by the school Acapella group. The ensemble has recent won an outstanding grading in the Peterborough Musical Festival. Another highlight was the display mounted by our Young Enterprise Company ‘Legacy’. This group of students have been highly commended within the region.

Science Week
Science Week is a national event to promote science in education and in our lives. The website https://www.britishscienceweek.org/ has lots of information on upcoming science events, activities and competitions that you can take part in. Here at KSCS, our best scientists have taken time away from their AS Level studies, to write articles and facts that you might find interesting. They will be appearing in the newsletter throughout March, so take a look and see if you are inspired to find out more about scientists, nature and new scientific fields outside of your lessons!
The Theory of Evolution The theory of evolution states that every organism (be it plant, animal or single celled organism) to ever have lived on Earth descended from a single common ancestor. In order to create all of the different animals and plants on Earth nowadays, this single ancestor would have had to physically change (evolve) through the generations of its offspring. All Houses have had a decrease in attendance this week although Success remain in first place. However, look how close the percentage now is! Integrity have leapfrogged Excellence into 2nd place. Let's work together to see if we can reach our target of 96% by attending every day next term.
