On Wednesday 14th February Year 9 drama students performed their Theatre in Education pieces and Year 9 GCSE Dancers performed their 12 Minute Project piece based on addiction at The Key Theatre.
It was lovely to see all performers adapt to a new performance space, using the lighting and staging. Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to watch and support them, we are really proud of their achievements.
Mr Billitt, Miss Barben, Miss Ward and Mrs Purdy

Last week our Year 7 students were treated to the BAE Roadshow where they learnt all about energy and the importance it plays in everyday life. The workshop is delivered by staff from BAE, Royal Airforce and the Royal Navy and is always a highlight on our calendar as a a really interactive and engaging session. A particular highlight was seeing just how fast Mr Fisher could go on the energy-generating bike!

Last half-term our Performing Art students in Years 9, 10 and P16 had the fantastic opportunity to watch a production of Jekyll and Hyde by The National Theatre Company. The dance studio was transformed into an amazing set, the lights, sound, costumes and props really brought the performance alive.
The Q&A with the professional actors at the end was so inspirational for our performing art students. The actors said our students were an amazing audience, the best school they have visited. They are currently on tour in Peterborough and then heading to Wakefield.
A huge thank you to everyone involved!
